I have been very lack in making more patterns. These past weeks I have been making many scarves for the homeless in my valley. I am up to 50. My need is to have 130 for the 2 missions.

I have also been working on our back yard. Took out most of the juniper that extended across the back. Now it is removing the fir needles and cones. Lots of work.

One more thing on my calendar is my wedding for August 8th.

I hope that good things are happening for all of you. Keep knitting or crocheting and I will be back with some of the patterns I used for the scarves.

Scarves

Recently developed several new hats, basically lace hats for chemo patients as the temperature goes up. Also now making scarves for the homeless this summer so that I have a stash to give away in the late fall and winter. Most of them are simple patterns like garter stitch all the way or seed stitch or moss stitch. Cast on 30 stitches, several rows of garter then 3 stitch border on both sides, with slipping the 1st stitch purlwise. The middle 24 stitches any pattern you want. Work for 36 to 45 inches.

One of the patterns is a 4 row repeat. row 1: Slip 1, k2, k2, p2 repeat to last 3 stitches k3

row 2: Slip 1, k2, p2, k2, repeat to last 3 stitches,k3

row 3: repeat row 2

row 4: repeat row 1

Happy knitting
